To make this year’s CAT exam a glitch free test, CAT organising Committee has decided to extend the exam dates to 20 days. CAT 2010 will commence from October 27 and last for 20 days till November CAT-exam23.

Between these dates, about 6 holidays are there which includes Diwali and others as per Government Calendar 2010. The number of test cities will be same 32 but number of test centres will be decreased.

This year Indian Institute of Management of Lucknow and Calcutta has been given the responsibility to conduct CAT exam. IIMs have also given 15 days time-period to test centres to test their system compatibility.

Last year many problems occurred during the first online CAT exam, so to make this year’s CAT a hassle free event, many precautions has been taken.

The application fee will remain same for CAT 2010 as it was last year, it will be Rs. 1400 for the General candidates and Rs. 700 for the SC/ST/OBC.
