Watch out for “Hybrid Nano”
Ratan Tata has once again stated that Tata does have plans to begin production of a hybrid version of the Nano. Tata confirmed this in an interview with a South Korean newspaper.
While there is no confirmation as yet on the nature of the hybrid system, it is unlikely that the Nano will sport a full-blown electric motor and battery pack that will allow it to run for long durations. At the same time, the system is expected to be more advanced than a start/stop micro system.
With the Nano already the world’s least expensive car, its hybrid version is likely to be the least expensive green car around!
